Some important points regarding Admission in Ph.D./M.S.(R) Programmes of DESE (ESZ/ESY) for 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2026-27

Notes to MS(R) and PhD National candidates:
If you have applied for the PhD or MS(R) programme in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering (DESE), IIT Delhi, and meet the shortlisting criteria specified above, you may be shortlisted for an interview and receive an official call letter from DESE, IIT Delhi. Please note that only candidates who have received a valid interview call letter from DESE, IIT Delhi, will be permitted to attend the interview.
The shortlisting criteria have been published in advance of the list of shortlisted candidates to help applicants who may wish to plan their travel to IIT Delhi. However, candidates are solely responsible for correctly interpreting and understanding the shortlisting criteria applicable to the PhD and MS(R) admissions for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2026–2027.
DESE, IIT Delhi, shall not be responsible for any inconvenience or financial loss incurred by candidates who make travel arrangements based on an incorrect interpretation of the shortlisting criteria and are subsequently not shortlisted for the interview.
No TA/DA will be provided to shortlisted candidates for attending the interview in person at DESE, IIT Delhi.
Accommodation in IIT Delhi hostels during PhD MS(R) Admission of DESE:
Limited hostel accommodations on PAYMENT basis may be available for the shortlisted candidates on first-come first-serve basis. The per day charge of Hostel Accommodation (including food) is 750 INR. Bedding charges will be extra. More details regarding hostel accommodations will be provided soon.
